Previously Anna completed  a Diploma in Law through Waikato University with a focus on Health Law.  On an ad hoc basis Anna serves on the Professional Conduct Committee for the Osteopathic Council of New Zealand.

Outside professional life Anna is Chairperson of Canoe Slalom Bay of Plenty and an International Canoe Slalom Judge .  Tramping,  mountain biking and a spot of adventure racing are on all the agenda when work, study, family and canoe slalom commitments allow!  In March 2025 Anna completed the Sounds to Sounds Bikepacking Brevet, a 1500 km event from Marlborough to Milford Sounds.
